Questions: This is a very interesting study. Questions: The albedo value during snowfall (0.76) seems too low. What is the reason for this? Is it possible that the snow was contaminated? According to our measurements, as well as according to numerous published data of other researchers, the albedo of fresh snow exceeds 0.9.

Yes, the albedo of the new snowfall is really high, and the reason of the low albedo (0.76) in Lake Wuliangsuhai is as follows: 1. The snow was really contaminated, and the snow surface was covered with a thin layer of the sediment, just like the ice surface. 2. The main reason was that the 0.76 was the average albedo during the snow period. The albedo of the new snowfall in Lake Wuliangsuhai was high, close to 0.81. With the change of snow density and thickness, the albedo gradually decreased to 0.75, and the average albedo in snow period was finally 0.76.
